biography
Abby grew up in a very musical family, practically singing before she could speak. Her first performance venue was the brick "stage" in front of her fireplace where she gave memorable renditions of "On the Good Ship Lollipop" and "Hello Dolly". In high school, she was very involved in the band as a flute and piccolo player, but her first love was always the theatrical stage. After receiving a BA in Vocal Performance from Harding University, she returned to her hometown of Houston, TX. She was a company member at the A.D. Players Theater for three years, performing with the Touring Unit, Children’s Theater and Main Stage venues. She then continued her education at Oklahoma City University, where she received her MM in Music Theatre. Upon her completion of graduate school, she took the plunge and became a New Yorker. Since moving to the city, Abby has toured nationally with Two Beans Productions in James and the Giant Peach and performed in Bryan Putnam's The Toymaker at both the NYMF and WVMTF festivals. She also created a cabaret show, "Fabulous, Baby!" which she has presented at The Laurie Beechman Theatre and Don't Tell Mama. In 2011 she made her Off-Broadway debut as Maria Pinnunziato in My Big Gay Italian Wedding. In her free time, she likes to play word games, kiss babies' cheeks, bake cake balls, and love on her amazing friends. Abby gives abundant thanks to her incredibly supportive family and friends.
